Resetting a BlackBerry will fix numerous unusual issues. There are two types of reset for BlackBerry phones, the Soft and Hard reset. If your BlackBerry is totally delayed, you can turn it off and remove the battery. If you’re getting a continual problem with it, you can restore it to the factory default settings.
The process of resetting a BlackBerry
- Remove the battery cover and remove the battery. Leave it off for at least 30 seconds. Insert the battery back and make sure it is seated properly. Turn On the Blackberry and check if it’s working now.
- For resetting the BlackBerry to its default factory settings, select “options” from the menu. Click on “security options” and select the “general settings”. Hit the menu and choose “wipe handheld”. Make sure that all the boxes are check and “continue”. Type in (blackberry) to complete the reset.
Note:
Resetting the BlackBerry will set it to the default factory settings, so make sure to back your files up before resetting.
